Uberdemand on the Nintendo Wii may become a problem again when the Holiday season arrives. There is a very real prospect of consumers facing hard-to-find stocks of the best-selling console in the market.
No less than Nintendo President Satoru Iwata admitted to Forbes Magazine that the company cannot promise US shoppers will be able to get their hands on the Wii this holiday season.
Iwata-san said that they are doing all they can to increase shipments to the US but he cannot give a firm commitment that their efforts will solve the shortage problems that they foresee.
It’s a good thing I don’t have to worry about getting a Wii because I already have one. But I do suffer from Nintendo’s distribution and shortage dilemmas because I still can’t find the Wii-Fit whereever I go. Good thing here is that I’m actually losing weight going to different malls and shops looking for that damn peripheral/game.
