The House of The Dead series was a great fave of mine. I first played the game through the much-lamented Sega Dreamcast and got so obsessed that I got the freaky and funny Typing of The Dead for the PC.
I am very excited about the news that the Nintendo Wii is getting a new House of The Dead title for Sega. The game, House of The Dead: Overkill, is said to carry on the cheesy, b-movie-like theme of the previous games.
According to reports, Sega will serve up a prequel that will tell the story of Agent G and Agent Washington. As for gameplay, the Wii-Mote will act as the “light gun” but melee attacks will also be incorporated in the agents’ list of moves. I can’t wait for the game to arrive next year.

2I can’t wait to play this – this is the sort of stuff that the Wii is really good at, not rubbish I could be playing on my GameCube, or smaller-scale stuff that would be better suited to finding a home on the DS. Bring on the zombies! Bring on my Wii-mote! Let battle commence!!
