Awesome! Reminds me of my good ‘ol Windows environment days… though I wonder now when they’ll release the “Ctrl-Cmd-Esc” combo for the Mac users. Oh, well, maybe soon. This was created by Taiwan’s Mod Design group. Each of these combo cups comes with it’s very own “circuit board inspired” serving tray. Not really sure if this will soon market worldwide. They have a cool website though, hang around and subscribe to their mailing list to be the first to know when this will ship to you. I know, I know… maybe Christmas ok? Oh, by the way, these are ceramic cups! :) [via TechnaBob] Read more »

USB Flower – Fragrance Oil Burner 08'
This has got to be one of the cutest USB oil fragrance burner I’ve seen. It’s still in it’s concept design stage by Fredrik Perman, and like you, I’m waiting for it to hit the stores. Hopefully before the holiday rush! :) Description This is a fragrance oil burner powered by USB. It’s currently ready for production, with injection tooling and engineering completed. Any fragrance can be achieved. These are 4 of my personal favourites. Personally, I think this will work best if you’re USB drives are to the side of your laptop. Forget about it if your USBs are at the back. Not sure if it will work through Read more »
Creative Zen X-Fi 8GB MP3 Player
Price: £100 ($180) Available: Widely in electronics stores Rating: 5/5 A product that recently caught my eye is the new Creative Zen X-Fi 8GB MP3 Player. I’ve been a big fan of Creative’s MP3 offerings as I have never really got on with the gear from Apple. When I got my first MP3 player in fact it was a Creative model, with only 32MB of memory. That shows how long I’ve been buying them! So, the X-Fi is the new flagship product and offers to restore the quality of your compressed music ensuring that you hear what the artist(s) and producer(s) intended from their work. All sounds so good so Read more »

Jack Thompson Disbarred?
News has been reported on Kotaku that Jack Thompson (the extremely active anti-gaming spokesperson and attorney) has been disbarred from for life from practicing law by the Supreme Court of Florida. Does this mean he’ll start to leave the electronic entertainment industry alone? I highly doubt it. Here’s the release from Mr Thompson himself: Miami attorney Jack Thompson, nationally and internationally known by virtue of his effective and successful opposition over the last 20 years to the broadcast, marketing, and sale of adult-rated entertainment to children, has just been informed by the Florida Supreme Court that he has been disbarred from the practice of law today. This disbarment is in Read more »
Shopping for a new guitar controller
I’ve been on a self-imposed hiatus from my Rock Band adventure because my guitar controller got broken. Instead of immediately springing for another guitar controller, I just decided to wait for the arrival of both the Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments. Unfortunately, since the PS3 versions will only be released middle to late October I’ll have to be game-free for the next few weeks. The self-imposed hiatus will be a good time for me to really examine which guitar controller to buy. Of course, I’m not going to get controllers for both games. My plan is to get the best controller and buy the bundle for Read more »
Activision files trademark for "Dance Hero"
Konami may have invented the rhythm game genre with its bemani series of games (Guitar Freaks and Drummania being some of the most popular), but companies like Harmonix and Activision has coopted it into their own with the success of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Even with Konami’s decision to enter the increasingly crowded rock star genre with its Rock Revolution, it will be hard for the company to gain the ground it lost. Now, even Konami’s banner game, Dance Dance Revolution, is being jeopardized, too. Activision has filed papers to trademark the name Dance Hero. The rights for the name will be used for a “computer game software,” “interactive Read more »

Ready for a quick shower… wait, you may want to check out the water if the temperature is just right. Most of us will stretch out an arm to feel the water temp, but geeks… hey we’ve got something else. Check out the “LED Shower”. EA hit with lawsuit due to Spore DRM
Electronic Arts’ problems with Spore just keeps worsening. After the big uproar over the DRM installed with the game. Spore came with a SecuROM digital rights management software that limited the game install to just three computers before being locked. Because of the negative criticism, EA recently increased the number of installs to five PCs. But one problem still remained. That is, the SecuROM, once installed, cannot be removed. This has led to accusations that it constitutes malware or spyware. Now, EA has to contend with legal woes because of its policy. A class action suit was recently filed at the North District of California Court. The suit claims that Read more »
