With Apple’s Let’s Rock event i San Francisco just a few hours away, Apple fanatics are eagerly anticipating Steve Jobs’ new announcements in terms of product offerings in the Apple line.

The most persistent rumor are revamped iPod models. Details are sketchy about any new features or improvements to the line but one thing is certain, the actual look will change.

Already, there are a lot of purported pictures and drawings about the redesigns with the iPod Nano being the most frequent example given. Based on both concept drawings and (gasp!) leaked accessories pictures, the new Nano will be rectangular in shape and will have a portrait screen. It actually looks quite similar to the new generation Microsoft Zune.

I myself am looking forward to any news about the iPod Touch. I’m itching for an upgrade to my old fifth-gen iPod and I want to consider the Touch, but only if it bumps up the storage capacity to 60gb or more.
