If you see a bike with a strange looking gadget on it’s handlebars, smile, it may just be a Flickr camera trying to ply your street to get that street cam view pic. Be sure you see a purple colored bike doing this, and if you go closer you’d see a Flickr sticker on the cam itself. If you do not see this, ha, you may want to monitor that bike for neighborhood safety sake.

Flickr has tricked up 20 bikes worldwide to initially do this work. Equipped with GPS and WiFi enabled cameras attached to the bike’s handlebars. It will take street level shots and send them to headquarters via WiFi upload to Flickr’s picture stream.
