If you’re looking for a gift for a family member or a very fortunate friend AND you have US$3,000 to spare, you may want to consider waiting for the store release of Sony’s newest DSLR camera. The Sony A900 is aimed at serious photo enthusiasts looking for the traditional SLR performance with the added features of digital photography. It takes a whopping 25-mega pixel per shot. That’s a very detailed photo for every snap shot. :)
“The α (alpha) DSLR-A900 introduction solidifies Sony’s position as a leading camera manufacturer that can meet the demands of serious enthusiasts,” said Phil Lubell, director of digital camera marketing at Sony Electronics. “It represents the best in sensor and image processing technologies and offers enhanced functions, performance and reliability so photographers can push their creativity to the limit.”
OK, it may not be suited for a family or a friend who are photography hobbyists, but if any of them are seriously considering a career in photography, this gift will surely boost them up to a good start. It’s not available in most stores, yet, but you can probably see it anytime before the major holidays.
