If you’re craving to purchase an Asus EeePC, saving up for that dream machine you can bring along to access the web anywhere a hotspot’s available… please hold off a little longer. Yeah, this is one of the times when waiting may actually pay off. Word has it that a new model of the EeePC is coming out early next year that will involve touchscreen technology. Yeah, you read it right… touch screen.
It seems that that’s the highway where most tech tools are heading at, thanks to the drum beat cadence that good ‘ol Apple has been marching on. Will there be an Asus EeePC tablet form model (?) not really sure, but my sources tell me that it is a probability.
Wired.com published a post about how to add touch sensitivity to your current EeePC for under $70. This post was around June 2008. Seems that EeePC developers heard ‘ya… and so by early next year, touch sensitivity will be built in.
i think that makes the EeePC a little useful, at least for me. My huge fingers just couldn’t seem to glide comfortably on the EeePC’s small touch pad. So good for me! :)
