I was about to buy a pink DS Lite for my wife this Christmas but the deal fell through when I wasn’t able to reserve the unit fast enough.
It’s a blessing in disguise though because I can now set my eyes on the DSi. I was wary of getting the new iteration of the DS because support for flashcards were not being discussed on the net. But apparently, the silence meant that development was already ongoing.
Acekard has officially announced the first flashcard for the DSi. The Acekard 2i has the same functionalities as previous flashcards including the ability to save games. The 2i is even backwards compatible with the DS lite and the old DS Phat.
It’s still not yet available on the market but expect it to appear in your favorite stores very soon.
