Ok, now why am I filing this under resource? Well, I could imagine a geek needing a 15-20 feet (500 lbs. tested) rope for tying all his geeky stuff for travel. Or tying boxes of stuff on top of his car. Scaling his apartment to reach the fire-escape ladder because he forgot his keys? Well, whatever it’s for, I think one bracelet will do. Kinda a fashion statement too I might say.
Got this snip from the manufacturer’s website:
There is approximately 15′ – 20′ of 550# paracord used in each bracelet. In an emergency situation, you can easily unravel the bracelet and deploy the paracord for use. If you do use your Survival Bracelet, simply send what is left back to us, along with your story, and we will remanufacture it for you, free of charge.
How’s that for a deal! :) Makes a perfect Christmas gift for your geek too. Add a message that says “if you ever need tying up… call me!”. LOL. Whadayasay?
Sells for about $25, right here.

1Oh my god, I have to have one. I’ve dreamed of having something like that since I’ve been a kid, I just hope I never have to use it!
