A novel idea to keep your Wii players physically fiti! Yeah, I know what you mean when you just couldn’t pull them out of the couch. And don’t even think of pulling the plug in the middle of a game. Que horror!

True that the Wii Fit will offer some way to physically keep you well, it just doesn’t offer the proper resistance. So the riiflex to the rescue! the riiflex turns a Wiimote into a weighted dumbbell. It has two weight options — 2 and 5 pounds — as well as trigger ports to access all the Wiimote buttons. The design is a prototype, too bad(!), but we’re all hopeful and we’re all keeping our fingers crossed for the sake of our flabby Wii players.

We do not have official product launch dates yet, nor do we have price quotes… BUT we do have a pre-order website where you may reserve a unit for US$5 the moment it comes out.
