iBoo Speakerset

I don’t know if I have to admit it, but this iBoo speakerset, docking station for iPods is rather cute. The spooky station features 3 speakers and a subwoofer for a total of 15Watt. It also comes with a mini remote, touch control and an AUX input to connect to TV. It is available in red, blue and white. At $89.99 even the retail price is acceptable. Read more »

SouthWest Airlines tests WIFI

SouthWest Airlines tests WIFI

It looks like geeks have growing options these days because flights are becoming a little tech savvy.  Recently Southwest Airlines has been testing satellite-based WIFI service on one of their flights, aimed at hopefully rolling it out for public use anytime soon.  It will be at beta testing phase for several months after this.  During this phase, and if you’re lucky to be in a plane involved in the beta tests, you get to enjoy the service for free.  Southwest says the service will be at US$10/day when it’s out of beta testing. While this development is much commendable I know a lot of strict WIFI use will be set Read more »

Express love with a Sony

Here’s Sony releasing bright red phones specially for the day of love.  They would be the models TM506, the C902 and the W760.  (The image to the right is that of C902). Give them a rose, OK.  Give them chocolates, well OK.  Give them the Sony Red Phones, ah, prepare for wide receiving arms waiting for you to come in for a tight warm hug. Read more »

So it comes as no surprise that Sony has announced that it will be exploiting the large capacity of Blu-ray discs to produce hybrid content BDs that contain not only a movie but also a game version of the said movie. We all know that movies are increasingly being licensed for game versions (just don’t expect a Revolutionary Read more »

Lego Mobile Phone from Alcatel

Lego Mobile Phone from Alcatel

Today seems to be Lego day. Not much information is available around this Lego mobile phone from French provider Alcatel, but it seems that the aim is to get kids even earlier hooked to phones. Apparently this will be a very cheap phone with the most basic of features, although a camera is rumored, for a very low price of $60. Pictures show that the front Lego bricks are interchangeable. I am curious to see how this will develop further. Loving the concept. Read more »
