Yeah, I’m not a fan of the color white for game consoles, which is why I have been holding off getting a Nintendo Wii. Some of my friends opted to get them nonetheless, but bought stickers to suit their tastes. But what is there to do for the Nunchuck? I’ve seen orange ones, but that’s just from eating Cheetos whlie playing… ha ha! Seriously, I’ve seen some you wouldn’t dare hold… even to play your favorite game. Well, the Logic3 FunChuk is now available for those who needs a little more color for their Wii. It comes in 6 different flavors (red / orange / yellow / green / white Read more »

Intelligent Baby Bottles
Here’s a product design that I’m very sure will see the assembly lines soon. I say that because its design is practical, functional and MUCH NEEDED. I remember the time I was making my daughter’s milk at 3AM, it’s not an easy task for a sleepy dad to do. I had to be sure that the temperature was just right, and tasting a few drops to measure temperature is as accurate as I can be. Got this scoop from Yanko designs. The bottle’s graphics are printed with thermo-chromic anti-forgery ink and change to show you it’s just at the right temperature for consumption. Great eh? Now sleepy Dads, at least, Read more »

Twitter often is the source of many a great meme. Everyone who doesn’t follow the ‘Circle of Jerks’ FAVRD where some of the funniest heavily favorited tweets are display can always follow the hottest topics at Twitter Search. Today’s meme could not be more appropriate, more old-school than Twitter, but it made me laugh lots: #nerdpickuplines. I present you some of the funniest nerdy pickup lines I read. Your place or my Mom’s? # If I ever got stuck time traveling you would always be my constant. # baby, if this were a bar would SO [command+tab] over to you and [option+command+w] everyone else. # All you need is a Read more »
Blackberry Earings!
This is very creative work by Toronto artist Barb Feldman. What’s not to admire? It’s unique and would certainly require a notice when you strut and flash it around. Be prepared to be asked though, the Blackberry and the iPhone have cult following and wouldn’t feel shy to come up to ask where you got those nice earings. :) Barb is running a website that displays a lot of her earing designs. Affordable as it is just a tad over or under US$20 too. The material is made of polymer clay (great base material for hand-shaped items like “miniatures”), and while it does look like a little “warpy”, the designer Read more »
Toshiba’s TG01 Multimedia Smart Phone
Well, here’s another gadget that will try to take a slice out of the iPhone’s consumer pie. Such is the fate, I think, of following through after a great product is released… the curse of being called “another gadget”. But from a consumer’s point of view, this is great because more options, more competition, more newer technology breaks WILL mean better inventions at a much better bottomline cost. The Toshiba TG01 has recently been launched unveiled (edited Feb 6) in Japan and is due for distribution in the USA soon. I know, it really looks like an iPhone with a little tweak in design. But the general “first-glance” looks and Read more »
The Sony E-Reader (PRS-505/SC)
It isn’t that often that a gadget comes along that makes you stop and think – and I really mean that, not just an instant ‘I want one’ of the latest iPod but something that looks like it could be a taste of the future. The Sony E-Reader is just such a gadget. I was concerned initially that my weaker right eye would be my undoing when using one of these, but the paper-like screen technology really is very good indeed. On top of that, this newer model is slimmer and has been redesigned since the last version – making it look very good indeed. More compact than many paperbacks, Read more »
Motorola Stature i9 iDEN phone
Well, looks like there is a noticeable development in iDEN phone designs with the introduction of Motorola’s Stature i9 iDEN phone. I remember my cousin flashing a Sprint Nextel iDEN phone when it was hip to carry it around. But I think after about 6 months of use it occupied the bottom drawer, replaced by much slicker Nokia phones. I think that was a firm cue for Motorola’s design team, I think the Statur i9 iDEN phone may make a rebound of trunk radio + cellphone tech convergence. The Stature i9 will be available from Motorola and Boost Mobile to bring the thinnest flip iDEN phone in existence to the Read more »
My Pal Scout
I’m writing this post for the geek dads who may, at times, stay late in the office or at home working on something with their PCs. Hey, specially if you you’ve got a kid who’s about 6 months to 2-years. Now because you may probably spend lesser time with them doesn’t mean your participation as a parent stops there too. Be grateful that technology is making several discoveries to help parents “cope” up and get involved. Here’s a great toy due to be released this summer from LeapFrog.com. “My Pal Scout” is a stuffed toy filled with tech things. You, as parent, can “teach” it to repeat words when one Read more »
Resident Evil 5 demo now out for PS3 and Xbox 360
The hotly anticipated demo for Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 is now out for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Actually, the demo was first released on the Xbox 360 a week ago and Playstation 3 owners just got the demo this week. Nevertheless, the anticipation for the game is so great that I am betting almost everyone is currently downloading the demo right now. I myself have started downloading the demo — even though I had some hard drive space problems. My 60Gb drive is filled to capacity with downloaded PSN games but I decided to remove some of them to give way for this demo. The Resident Evil Read more »
Sony VAIO P Series – More Information
We’ve already mentioned the P series here, but I couldn’t fail to mention it again after seeing one of these in action. This diminutive little thing is incredibly light, has a wonderfully luxurious wide screen, a GPS, 3G and a design to die for. Perhaps the only thing that you won’t like is the size of thing – but then that’s the same with anything with this sort of form factor. Naturally, as it is a Sony product, it doesn’t come cheap. However, as soon as you see one trust me, you’ll want to buy one. Here’s the official press release: About the size of a business envelope and roughly Read more »
