21st century business card: Facebook status

21st century business card: Facebook status

Even in the world of mobile address books and Bluetooth syncing, there’s still a place for the humble business card. Not only does it allow you to inject a little of you or your company’s personality into the proceedings (have you tried doing that with a vCard?) but there are still plenty of people for who a piece of card is the holy grail of making contacts. There’s plenty of scope for updating the type of information displayed on it, though. Take Kim Bost‘s business card design which simply provides space for a “status update”. Read more »

The Portable Spotlight

The Portable Spotlight

Seems like a pretty solid car gadget. I’m sure most of you had the chance to frantically hope in finding anything to adequately light up a torch during a car emergency. And who has instead opted to light up a a lighter in the car for a long period… dangerous! And how would it light up in the first place in icy weather. Boy, good thing winter is almost over. It’s good to note that we, again, have technology to the rescue. A rechargeable powerful flashlight that plugs into your lighter socket. I’d call it plug-and-forget UNTIL you actually need to use it. Spotlight is equipped withbright LED light bulb, Read more »

Get a real nerdy watch, not a wrist phone

Get a real nerdy watch, not a wrist phone

Probably I am the only who thinks this way but the LG Wrist Watch Phone is totally retarded, although cool. Retarded because imagine being in a restaurant and speaking to your watch. WTF! Unless you’re Dick Tracey the watch/phone will make you look like a retard. I had the awesomest watches, even a Swatch The Beep but I do not get the LG Wrist Watch Phone hype. Especially not if the rumored 1000GBP become reality. If you want something really cool and *spy alike*, get this multimedia watch with MP3 player, camera, external amplifier, 1.8″ inch color screen and 4GB data storage. Read more specs and get yours here. Read more »

I hate the iPhone

I hate the iPhone

I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. It’s everywhere I look, my friends have it, my neighbors have it, my family has it, my POSTMAN has it too! Oh darn it, can’t anyone have any other phone except the iPhone? It has become an eyesore. Sure it’s pretty (liked having one before), but I see it everywhere… and it has turned to be “not pretty” anymore. Geez, it’s like a germ… it’s everywhere. It doesn’t help when competitors try to ride the design and functionality bandwagon and “try” to be an iPhone too. Hmm.. Actually that may be the key. I think they’re all planning to be iPhones, Read more »

A personal plea

A personal plea

Here’s a concept design that inspires you (in a way) to seriously consider the smallest effort one needs to begin to lessen their negative impact on mother nature. Recycling used batteries may be a small task, but if one person doesn’t, their batteries pile up somewhere. Did you know that Americans dispose at the very least 1 billion batteries a year? That is a staggering figure considering that the USA is inundated with much material for environment care.? Read more »
