021709_rg_plugandplay_02I couldn’t help looking at furniture this week at Ikea (Schaumburg, Illinois). They’ve got pretty amazing stuff there and if I had enough moolah, I’m sure to get some of their amazing designs. I’ve got a pretty small apartment to work with so Ikea designs fit well with how I want my pad dressed.

Browsing the internet for more furniture designs I came across this site that may be paving a trend. This is a regular shelf, turned into a gadget power station by shelving designer Sung-Pil Hwang of Nothing Design Group.

The concept tells you to actually plug the shelf to a wall power outlet AND use the three available plugs on top of the shelves to power up your gadgets. Hmmm… good step-up functionality. Needs a little push to add more though as I feel it’s “enough” to call it a spectacular idea.
