The hotly anticipated demo for Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 is now out for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Actually, the demo was first released on the Xbox 360 a week ago and Playstation 3 owners just got the demo this week. Nevertheless, the anticipation for the game is so great that I am betting almost everyone is currently downloading the demo right now. I myself have started downloading the demo — even though I had some hard drive space problems. My 60Gb drive is filled to capacity with downloaded PSN games but I decided to remove some of them to give way for this demo.
The Resident Evil 5 demo will feature two parts of the game that will not only have the crazy shooting segments but also the puzzles that have been a staple of the Resident Evil franchise. Players can decide to play split screen multiplayer, online, and of course single player mode.
I’ll have some first impressions ready the moment I finish downloading the game.

1I can safely say that this is going to be one of the games of the year. I got the demo before Christmas from a friend of a friend in Japan, and it is really very good. The dynamic gameplay from RE4 is present, along with more of the fluid action that you saw in games such as Gears of War. Will the single player live up to the great co-op action though? That remains to be seen…
