Now look, what is it about mobile phone wristwatches all of a sudden. First we see the bizarre LG Wrist Watch Phone and then the more visually appealing bracelet phone (sadly just a concept), and now Hyundai has decided there’s enough interest to make its MB-910 watch phone.
It was shown at Mobile World Congress a couple of months back and, apparently, there are plenty of people who want this blocky-looking gadget on their wrist. It’s certainly not the look I’d go for (I preferred Hyundai’s 2007 attempt, and it’s not even got the most cutting edge technology on board.
Sure, it’s got a touch display but there’s only room to squeeze in 132 x 176 resolution. It’s triband but no sniff of 3G, and simply WAP for browsing (though why you’d want to surf the Internet from your wrist is beyond me). It’ll come with a Bluetooth headset and can be used for email, music and video.
And the price? Around £200 SIM-free. Hyundai says that it’s already “selling well” in Europe and will arrive in Britain sometime this summer. Would you wear it?

1I actualy own a mobile phone wristwatch (CECT W100) that i got for Ł100 similar features as above but has buttons for answer recieve volume, etc on the front around the screen which makes it easy to use.
This concept of wearing mobiles is a good thing for people like myself that dont use the mobile that often to warrant a handset. But if i wish to talk to someone it simply detaches off the wristband with a push of a button and i can speak in a normal mobile phone fashion. (none of this dick tracy rubbish)
Also if your driving its a lot easier to use a mobile thats on your wrist than to fumble in your pocket to put it on loud speaker or too see who is calling before you answer it with a headset/handsfree.
im nerdy enough to like the idea of sunglasses integrated with a mobile phone. i bet these wont be far behind.
