bigdaddydoll New viral site drums up interest for Bioshock 2
Bioshock fans who loved the first game, rejoice!

If viral teaser sites that have popped up on the net can be believed, we are about to get more details and possibly the imminent arrival of the sequel to the hit game — Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams. It’s no surprise that the sequel to Bioshock is currently being developed by 2K Marin. But details about the new game has not been readily available until lately.

A visit at the site somethinginthesea.com, which has just recently gone live, will show you an image of an old world map that has an X mark located in the western coast of Ireland. The mark, dated February 20, 1967, is about seven years after the events that transpired in the original game. There are photos, notes and newspaper clippings located within the site.

The newspaper clippings tell the account of what would be the apparent kidnapping of a girl by a mysterious entity that, based on the descriptions in the article, may be a new kind of Big Daddy or Splicer.

We’ll be keeping an eye out on somethinginthesea.com and provide you with more details about Bioshock 2, which is tentatively slated to be released within the year for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC.
