Sharkoon Rush FireGlider

Sharkoon Rush FireGlider

This is a handsome creature now is it? :) I know you’d get several raves when you flash this mouse out in a network gaming arena. A great knight is as great only as his sword. Remember King Arthur? If he didn’t have Excalibur, I’m not sure he would have been King Arthur… just.. umm… Arthur. Anyway, you know what I mean. Flash this mouse out and you’d get people looking in awe that a gaming master is in the house, man! Just for the visual appeal and the buttons… THE BUTTONS… 6 in all. Oh man, that alone will make the standard gamer dizzy! Sharkoon has expanded its Rush Read more »

Microsoft sued for alleged Halo patent infringement

Microsoft sued for alleged Halo patent infringement

Halo is widely considered as the centerpiece of current console advantage. It also ushered in the online console gaming phenomenon that we’re now seeing. It’s safe to say that Halo has played a large part in making the Xbox 360 what it is today. Unfortunately, Halo is also at the center of a far less welcome turn of events — a patent infringement lawsuit. Microsoft has been charged with patent infringement that could potentially cost the company $90 million in damages. According to the suit, the patent infringement stems from two patents that were developed by Mpath Interactive. The said patents refer to “technology for ways to control interactive applications Read more »

Fight Night Round 4 to ship June 30

Fight Night Round 4 to ship June 30

One of the games that I’m highly anticipating this year is Fight Night Round 4. There’s a big reason why I love playing boxing games. First, I’m a very busy man that I rarely have the time right now to really sit down and spend more than two hours on an RPG. A boxing game is usually short and sweet. I can boot up my game play one match, win, and then turn it off and go back to work. It really fits my tight schedule at the moment. But more than that, I love to play boxing titles. It’s just really fun to pummel a fighter and try to Read more »

Meet Rovio

Meet Rovio

I still couldn’t believe I missed posting about Rovio during the holidays. He has got to be one of the most sensible purchases a geek could have ever made. Most specially if he needed to be two places at one time. I think it’s a good thing too, because if you head on to Radio Shack today Rovio is on sale for roughly around US$130. Not available for online purchase though, but if you show up at many of their shops in the US you’d see that Rovio IS on sale. I’m guessing we’d see Rovio II any time soon. Nonetheless Rovio 1… rocks. Check out the features below: - Read more »

Turn your subway tickets in to X-Wing Fighters

Turn your subway tickets in to X-Wing Fighters

Hubert de Lartigue has released a step by step phototutorial on how to transform Parisian subway tickets in to X-Wing fighters. The tutorial can be applied to any cardboard ticket sized 30mmx65mm, but the magnet strip perfectly fits the nose of the X-Wing. For Star Wars fans mainly and definitely worthy to be featured in our Dept. of Awesomeness. Read more »

Microsoft cottons on to laptop popularity, launching notebook cooling base and portable mice

Microsoft cottons on to laptop popularity, launching notebook cooling base and portable mice

It seems that Microsoft has woken up to the fact that notebook computers are very popular and are actually outselling desktops, and that means… a new product or two. Yes, despite the fact that other manufacturers have been doing this kind of thing for years, Microsoft has decided that it should launch a notebook cooling base. And yes, that’s what it’s called. No passivity here, mind, as the unit features a built-in fan and efficient cooling channel. It can be used on desks and laps and is angled for a more optimal typing angle, yet is only 1.16 inches think. As with most other similar stands, it’s USB powered, and Read more »

Hyundai to launch MB-910 mobile phone watch in UK

Hyundai to launch MB-910 mobile phone watch in UK

Now look, what is it about mobile phone wristwatches all of a sudden. First we see the bizarre LG Wrist Watch Phone and then the more visually appealing bracelet phone (sadly just a concept), and now Hyundai has decided there’s enough interest to make its MB-910 watch phone. It was shown at Mobile World Congress a couple of months back and, apparently, there are plenty of people who want this blocky-looking gadget on their wrist. It’s certainly not the look I’d go for (I preferred Hyundai’s 2007 attempt, and it’s not even got the most cutting edge technology on board. Read more »

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Rei episode 1

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Rei episode 1

First off, I’d like to say hello to everyone on Forever Geek. My name is Nopy and I guess I’m the newest member here. I have a strong interest in anime and anything anime-related (in other words, I’m an anime otaku) so the majority of my posts here will be dealing with these areas. For my first post I thought I’d review the first episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Rei (a.k.a. When They Cry or When Cicadas Cry), which was released on DVD at the end of February. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei is the OVA (original video animation) for the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni series, meaning Read more »
