My favorite iPhone apps are the ones that use your location and share something about you with the rest of the world. Privacy concerns aside, geo-friendly applications are definitely the way to go. iWallFlower is a free download that lets you draw on the iPhone screen and then share your creations with the rest of the world. Wow, I think this is just all to perfect! I use GPS devices a lot, specially if I’m going out of my 10-mile radius from downtown Chicago. I know I have to start to memorize my turns and roads BUT I tell you, it gets confusing with new signs being put up everyday, re-routes and don’t get me started with snow and hard rain, and fog that just blurs a driver’s vision. Ah did I get your attention with the post title? Nah, this is not that post… rather a security post for your home, or your apartment. It’s the geeky way to see who’s outside knocking to get in. I use a traditional peephole and there are times I couldn’t even recognize who’s on the other side. I have to squint uncomfortably to check the person out. Here at Forever Geek, we like to be completely inclusive – whatever kind of geek you might happen to be. I personally enjoy science.
