Samsung intros lightweight N310 mini notebook

Samsung intros lightweight N310 mini notebook

strong>Samsung hopes to excite with its latest N310 mini notebook PC, making a big issue out of the fact that it has sophisticated styling from leading international designer Naoto Fukasawa. Great, so what does that mean practically? This lightweight 10.1-inch machine has a frameless, scratch-proof LED screen and pebble design keyboard. Not only that, but the case is durable and strong – pretty much a necessity when on the move – and Samsung has even been thoughtful enough to coat the keyboard with an anti-bacterial finish so that all the crud that drops into it during its lifetime won’t breed and then pass on some rare fungal infection or airborne Read more »

Clocky : Wake up to chase him :)

Clocky : Wake up to chase him :)

If you’re anything like me when the alarm clock rings you’d probably hit the snooze button too many times. I remember hitting it at 6am, then 6:10 and finally… 8:30am! The horror of quickly racing through the morning rush just to make it to work on time. Now I’m not too sure if I’d be happy with Clocky, but he seems to do the job for people like me. He works by setting off a pre-set alarm (the first one), and allows you to hit the snooze button once. But don’t let that kindness fool you… he’s equipped with wheels and can quickly drive off your side-table to sound an Read more »

Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution – Review

Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution

Going back in time, Ready 2 Rumble was an excellent game on the Sega Dreamcast – a console that was sadly overlooked when released. The cartoon style graphics were really very good, the animations superb and the strange characters great fun to play. This new, third instalment on the Nintendo Wii should be the perfect party game. Unfortunately, the game suffers the same problem as the boxing in Wii Sports – simply put, I didn’t find the game accurate enough to translate the variety of moves I was trying to pull off – or indeed that featured in the move list of the manual! Battle for The Cowl getting a lot of interest

Battle for The Cowl getting a lot of interest

Comic fans are all talking about the new Batman limited series Battle for The Cowl. With Batman’s apparent death during Final Crisis, Gotham City is in shambles, criminals are running wild and everyone’s fighting to assume the authority that Batman left. Batman RIP was a great story but it looks like Battle for The Cowl is going to top it. I love the great level of chaos that’s happening in the pages of the Bat titles. Dick Grayson’s trying to keep the piece but still refuses to assume the Mantle of the Bat even though Tim Drake is urging him to do so. And the appearance of a new Batman Read more »

Need Sleep? Get Dreamate

Need Sleep? Get Dreamate

I love my sleep, perhaps more than the average person. My problem is that I usually feel sleepy during the day and yet I have a hard time falling asleep at night – well, unless I have had several rounds with my best friend Jack (Daniels?). Anyhow, I am quite excited about this gadget, which is not that geeky in my mind, that I discovered just a few minutes ago. Read more »

Wear Your Own Personal Soundtrack

Wear Your Own Personal Soundtrack

I just came from the theatre; watched Watchmen. I am ashamed to say that I have never read the graphic novel but that didn’t stop me from watching the movie. After all, everyone says that they pretty much stuck to the story so it’s about the same. Aside from the awesome cinematics and effects, I have to say that the soundtrack is one of the best points of the movie. And speaking of soundtracks, have you noticed how much drama the music adds to movies? Read more »
