"Reimagined" Silent Hill coming this fall

"Reimagined" Silent Hill coming this fall

When I first heard of a new Silent Hill game a week ago, I dismissed it, thinking that it was some sort of early April Fools joke. That was the same sentiment I had when I heard about Sony cutting the price of the Playstation 2 to $99.99. But apparently, the joke was really on me because it turned out that both these reports were true. Konami has announced that it is preparing a remake of the original Silent Hill game, the seminal game that, to my mind, really brought horror action adventure to new level (sorry Resident Evil). The first Silent Hill was released way back in 1999 for Read more »

Fate T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC Figure

Fate T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC Figure

Fans of the anime series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS will be glad to hear that the Fate T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC figure is available for preorder at most anime figure stores (including those outside of Japan like Big Bad Toy Store). Fate is definitely one of the most anticipated figures being released this year (proven by the fact that she’s ranked 3rd most popular figure on Hobby Search’s figure rankings), fans have been eagerly anticipating her release since the first photos of her initial sculpt made their way online last year. This figure is being manufactured by Alter, one of the better quality anime figure companies in my Read more »

Casio shows off two new watches: the advanced and the classy

Casio shows off two new watches: the advanced and the classy

I love watches, despite the fact that I haven’t worn one since the battery died on my last watch over three years ago. Though I don’t need half the functions on the cool watches I’m showing off here (it’s a simple left turn from my bedroom to my computer room, after all, so getting back must be a right turn…) there’s still something makes me want to wear them. Not both at the same time obviously… Anyway, these beauties are from Casio. First up is the PRW-1500-1VER. Not a good name at all, but cut it some slack for the feature list is fairly impressive. Jabra Halo bluetooth headset.. or headband

Jabra Halo bluetooth headset.. or headband

Not a real fan here, sorry, but for what its worth I thought of giving you a heads-up on what’s coming by May 2009. Jabra will be releasing a stereo bluetooth headset. A lot of tech blogs have given raves about this because it seems like the only stereo bluetooth head set that is thin and sleek… just like a headband. If it would come out with a few models in pink, red, white or any pastel color, I’m sure my daughter would want one. A few male executives wouldn’t mind wearing one I’m sure, but it has to complement hair color and suit design too. :) The Jabra HALO Read more »

AK Rock Box Gaming and Storage Ottoman

AK Rock Box Gaming and Storage Ottoman

What does 38″ long by 22″ wide and 17″ tall ottoman mean? Well to some it may mean extra space to park crashing friends in a small flat, BUT now it seems the old ottoman has found new function… say in keeping your Rock Band controllers! I’ve been to some of my friends’ homes and well, you’d see the “organized chaos” with those Rock Band controllers left in a corner, on a corner table, under the Christmas trees (ha! yes, some of them still have their trees!). Still some of them would compromise by putting it in their coat closets and (much worse) under the kitchen sink. Read more »

Shot Carver: Get Fruity!

Shot Carver: Get Fruity!

It is pretty obvious by now that my night was full of fun that involved some amount of alcohol, isn’t it? Don’t worry – we all drank moderately and were responsible adults. At the end of the night, I had tons of fun. That night made me go look for cool drinking gadgets, though, and here is another cool find: the shot carver. I found the shot carver at Cool Stuff Express, and while it does not really involve electronics of any kind, I think that it would at least serve as a conversation piece when you entertain at home. So what does it do? Read more »

Chill Cans Real Fast With The Cooper Chiller

Chill Cans Real Fast With The Cooper Chiller

So here’s the scenario. My friends wanted to go out last night. I didn’t want to go. I am not really a “going out kind of person,” although I do venture out of my hobbit hole every so often. After a rather long exchange via text messages, they get this idea of visiting me instead. Of course, I could not really say no – and I didn’t really want to say no anyway. Read more »

USB Moody 3-Port Hub + Erasable Memo Pad

USB Moody 3-Port Hub + Erasable Memo Pad

I’ve seen a lot of multi-function gadgets lately and by far this may be the oddest of the bunch. I couldn’t imagine why I wouldn’t have pen and paper handy when I’m on my desk, but then again, I can’t really tell what you keep on yours now could I? So if you are always at a loss when you need to write down something then this may be a good pal for you. You use USB hubs anyway, so why not give your current to a colleague or friend so you can “upgrade” to this one… it’s got pretty lights :) And for the price of US$13 each, I Read more »

The Sony HDR-TG5V

The Sony HDR-TG5V

I’ve been passing by the Sony outlet store at Prime Outlets for several times now because I saw a lot of items below standard retail rates, discounts of about 15% or more! I held on my Benjamins tightly because I knew something worthwhile would be available this spring… well, it seems like a good idea after all. The Sony HDR-TG5V is one definitely to crave for. I like how 6-hours of video can fit into this small “toy”. Oh I could almost imagine the comfort of not having to download to my Macbook every time I needed more space. And the comfort of slipping it into my jacket, or even Read more »
