Google To Create A Netbook?
I wouldn’t mind having one. I am still loving my MSI Wind but a new gadget is always welcome. The rumors are that Google is gathering data that it will need to come up with an Android-powered netbook. On Thursday of last week, people spotted a Google ad on Craigslist which sought people who want to participate in a study focused on netbook usability. Naturally, participants would have to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They would also have $75 in American Express gift checks as remuneration. Read more »
Brawn GP Formula One racing cars emblazoned with Terminator Salvation imagery
Formula One racing newbies Brawn GP have teamed up with Sony Pictures to promote the forthcoming Terminator Salvation movie at this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. The two cars, featuring drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barichello, will carry imagery from the film prior to the film’s European premiere in Paris on 28th May. Read more »
Puppy speakers: cute over quality?
Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, but I’m really struggling to see why you’d want two model puppy speakers plugged in to your computer. Operating via USB, the speakers are downward facing which makes me think a lot of the sound is going to bounce off the desk or distort in some way. Is this a case of cuteness before sound quality? iMac G4 immortalized in LEGO
It’s impossible to run out of things to try and build from LEGO. In this case, Bjarne Tveskovs built a scale model of his beloved Apple iMac G4 from LEGO and a seven inch photoframe that can show photos, play movies and display TV pictures. He says that there’s no actual Apple hardware inside the iMac G4 Junior at present. Much of the base is simply a weight because the photo frame is quite heavy. Read more »

Earlier this week Variety reported that the popular series “Death Note” may be adapted into a Hollywood film by Warner Bros. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Death Note, it was a widely popular manga which was adapted into an anime and 2 Japanese live-action films, all of which turned out very successful.
