I have been hearing about this TV series for a long time now but I haven’t had any time to watch it – until now. As I write, I am going through the whole first season. I have to say, the mere sight of Leonard and Sheldon got me hooked.
For the benefit of those who have not seen (or heard) of The Big Bang Theory (you are missing out, I tell you!), the show focuses on the life of two nerd roommates, Leonard and Sheldon. Their IQs add up to 360 combined but they have no clue as to how to interact with people beyond their circle. Their mundane existence is made more interesting by Penny, who just moved to the apartment across the hall. Penny is a hot blonde who just broke up with her boyfriend. Naturally, Leonard falls for her but Penny seems to be only interested in making friends with the guys.
So what makes the show worth watching? To be honest, I am almost done with the whole season but it seems that the plot is not going very far. We simply observe the lives of the roommates and Leonard does not seem to be getting anywhere with Penny. The nerdy lines that the guys deliver are priceless, though. Indeed, some of them might be gibberish in truth, but it’s still hilarious how they interact with each other and how they TRY to blend in with Penny’s circle. There’s already a second season, and I can’t wait to see if that’s as good – or better – than the first one.

season 2 continues the story and i think it got better..
i hope they come out with season 3 soon :)
If you enjoyed the big bang theory, you should also watch “the IT crowd”. It is funnier and nerdier than tbbt.
i absolutely love big bang theory, season 2 just finished this week on channel 4 but season 3 apparently starts in september! I agree with fleko, those in love with big bang theory should definitely check out “the IT crowd”

I only managed to watch season 2, but its a wonderful way to spend the evening! TBBT is so lighthearted, and I appritiate being able to have a nerdification at home, insted of giving everything over to my boarish jock of an older brother. YAY!!!
I only finished ep 10 of season 1…now you know what I’m going to do over the weekend. And thanks for the tip on the IT Crowd, will look for that.
Hi I love the big bang theory, sheldon is my fave character and I me and my freind Lucie are so mad (and slightly sad) that we play rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock! Oh and painted my face as the doppler effect at the summer fair!!! LOL!

the big bang theory sucks and I dont even watch it anymore cause im so
burned out on it from watching the dvds too much and that fucking laugh
track is the most annoying thing ever and if they got rid of it and the always
pissed off looking and very annoyed cant act to save his freaking life born
in freaking germany johnny galecki then the show would be just perfect
but no they still freaking keep it so im not watching it.
