Windows, OS X, Linux all the same for one thing…
Ahh, how much time we used to still spend arguing over which is better: Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. Seems that the following graph, though not comprehensive, arrives at one stark conclusion: your choice of operating system is irrelevant when it comes to… …watching porn: Via Read more »
Netbooks and User Satisfaction: It's All About Expectations
Growth in netbook sales has fast overtaken that of full-fledged notebooks and desktop computers. After all, they’re inexpensive, really portable and they’re usually considered cool. But recent research cited by NY Times and Computerworld indicates that some netbook users are unsatisfied with their purchases. The disappointment with netbooks — NPD analyst Stephen Baker preferred that term rather than “dissatisfaction” — stemmed from expectations that a netbook was the same, more or less, as a laptop. Five second videos of old video games
GreyScaleGorilla recently set an interesting challenge: come up with a five-second video reminiscing about the good old days of video games. Great idea, quite a few submissions (check out the Vimeo channel). Here are my favorites: Pac Man romantic meal spoiled Read more »
Adesso CyberTablet Z12 Review

Personality Disorders Brought About By The Internet – Which One Have You Got?
Personality disorders seem to be a fascinating topic these days. In the old days (maybe when I was not born yet), personality disorders were not really considered to be “scientific” problems. Today, though, it seems that everyone and his mom have been diagnosed with one condition or the other. And YES, it is a legitimate condition. Anyway, a Facebook friend of mine shared a link the other day and it just cracked me up. Titled “6 New Personality Disorders Caused by the Internet,” it outlines some existing personality disorders which have been given a new twist by the Internet. Read more »
Instill Discipline With A Video Game Timer
Right. I was not even done typing out the title of this post and I already knew that it is not going to make a lot of people happy. Indeed, the words “discipline” and “video game timer” are bound to grate on people’s nerves – including mine, on certain occasions. And just so we’re clear, I am not even thinking about children at this point. I am thinking about husbands (and even wives!) who have this unbreakable bond with their favorite gaming console (PlayStation 3 in our case). Read more »
