My mousepad is constructed in such a way that my laser mouse works quite well on it (until I drop it off the edge onto the desk, that is) should I still wish to use it.
However, the really innovative move by a mousepad manufacturer worried about dwindling sales is to… put a note pad on it.
Yes, really.
This isn’t just a pad of paper stuck on top of the mouse pad. It’s more like a magic slate, so you can write whatever you like using either your fingers or a stylus, and that will stay put on the mat until you lift the top sheet.
It’s perhaps come a little late for a lot of people, given that there are a lot of other ways of leaving notes for yourself or others, both physical and virtual. Still, it’s just $14.99 so might be worth a look.
