Smileys or emoticons – whatever you want to call them, they have proliferated everyday communication the world over. From text lingo to chat lingo to e-mail – emoticons are the rave these days. Perhaps because they transcend language barriers, emoticons are use by practically everyone.

Then again, there are those who have had enough of these “cute” little things. I can name a LOT of people who would call you out for using emoticons in your e-mails. I have to admit, though, that I do like to use a smiley or two every now and then; but what do you think of brightening up your home with emoticons?

These are magnets from Shanalogic, and cost $15 for nine black and white 2.25” buttons. They might just look good on your fridge OR your office cubicle. I think I would prefer the shower curtain, though. What about you?
