Last year, ThinkGeek’s April Fools prank was an imaginary Tauntaun sleeping bag akin to the one Han Solo sliced open with Luke’s lightsaber to keep Luke warm amidst the stark weather of Hoth. Because it would look totally gross to replicate a Tauntaun mold, ThinkGeek was able to ask for permission to license the adult sleeping bag from Lucasarts.
The sleeping bag costs USD $99.00 and really makes a decent sleeping bag with the Tauntaun’s head as soft pillow and one fake leg slot for added realism. Oh and the insides are pattered with the Tauntaun’s intestines. Much attention to detail has been carved out of the sleeping bag — apart from the intestines, you get a neat lightsaber that acts as the zipper to open and close the bag.
ThinkGeek warns that this sleeping bag is only for indoor use and not suitable for camping in the great outdoors (of Hoth).
