I couldn’t put my finger on what I found disturbing at first: the Samsung Corby Pro is a sure winner for 2010. It has filled the niche for an el-cheapo phone that comes with QWERTY keypad layout and WiFi … all this for about USD $200.00. SO why was I so averse to it when I took the phone home?
A fashion disaster. OMG. Just look at the back. This reminds of a story where I once went out with a friend and she told me, halfway into dinner that I’ve been wearing a fashion no-no: apparently stripes on stripes isn’t supposed to be a good thing. I had a nice striped top on with very minute pinstriped pants. So from afar it looked like I was wearing gray, but upon further inspection, I turned out to be a “fashion disaster” (and this is according to her .. I could care less). But it was when I took the Corby home that I finally knew what she meant.
Just look at it. Black on white is acceptable, but the swirly bits PLUS the back of front piece is colored RED?!? It’s too much. Just too much for the eyes. Unacceptable. Who could have let this slip?!

3Weird. How come the one I saw in the mall is just plain. I think you could find it with a plain back ^^;;; This is the only model I’ve seen pictures of with some swirly stuff at the back. Maybe it’s optional?

5The red rear actually complements the green swirls. It isn’t THAT bad. It would have looked better if the cover was aligned in a more proper position, though.
It definitely isn’t a fashion no-no. Besides, the others are right: the product comes with a plain white rear, as well.
Maybe you just didn’t look as thorough as you thought you did.

6My friend has one of this, and her keyboard is white. Which look quite nice. I’m planning to buy one in Singapore.
