Based on informal surveys of the written correspondence, a lot of arguments via SMS and email occur because at least one party didn’t quite get the punchline. When IQ levels are at odds, sarcasm can turn to the devil’s worst weapon, insinuating the most heated arguments.
So, finally after several years of sarcastic wit, there finally has been a consensus, of some sort, to develop a punctuation for sarcasm. It looks like that thing above, beside the logo of the developer. This new exclamation is suggested to be placed after every sarcastic line or phrase we exchange in SMS or email, or even in handwritten notes.
So how does it work? After installing the keystroke, all you need to do is press the “CTRL + .” or “Windows + .” The logistical impediment comes when other computers don’t have this installed, so the solution to this is SarcMark provides a graphical embed of the font version. Oh, you’d also need to download a separate version for your mobile phone. These are the compatible softwares and platforms that can use SarcMark and include Windows 7, messaging apps, and mobile phones.
The vision seems to be a universal consensus to have the SarcMark applied as a real punctuation in the standard US keyboard. This I support.
