25 years in the business and RIM is doing mighty well for itself. Dealing with the crossfire of lawsuits from back in the early 2000′s, Research in Motion made the right decision by expanding the BlackBerry line into the more affordable and more chic consumer market in the past two years.
It’s a good time to be an employee of RIM. To celebrate 25 years, all their employees are getting a special limited edition of Monopoly with custom BlackBerry play pieces. There are several of these photos posted all over the Internet by those under RIM’s employment and a friend of mine who works for RIM Singapore got hers recently. I found more photos from the net showing off the special edition tokens (above): the pieces are of excellent craftsmanship (source) and it’s a great way to celebrate (and HINT) RIM’s apparent monopoly in the push email business, as no one else can do it better than them.
