I never read Iron Man as a kid. I was more into Batman, the X-Men and related teams, as well as Spider-Man to read about an alcoholic rich guy with a suit. As a result, I went into Iron Man the movie with just a few basic expectations, and came out ecstatic about the series and the direction it was going. Robert Downey Jr. did a spectacular job as Tony Stark, and everyone else involved did great, too. With the ending, I saw what Marvel was really trying to put together, and saw just how cohesively it was going to happen. Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor … The Avengers movie was going to be awesome.

Here we are, 2010, and the next few years are looking good for Marvel’s franchise. Thor is 2011, as is Captain America, and the following year, The Avengers. First though, we have Iron Man 2, which is going to lay some more of the groundwork for the Avengers movie. And of course, there’s a new trailer online. Two words: Suitcase. Armor.
