Everyone’s favorite Sith Lord (like you were going to vote for someone else?) is now available in cuddly, cute, Hello-Kitty fashion with these new skins by Infectious. Dubbed the “pink.invader,” this skin is available in several different sticky flavors, for your lappy, iPod, iPhone, BlackBerry, or Trapper-Keeper notebook. Alright, we made that last one up, but only because our Trapper Keeper had Optimus Prime on it, and it doesn’t get much more badass than that. Designer Michael Sison worked this bad boy up for Infectious, and he’s got another cool design too, with retro Gameboy skins for the handhelds. Now I get it; This particular skin may not be for Read more »

We at ForeverGeek approve Popular Science Posting Complete Archives Online
We at ForeverGeek approve. And thus, prepare for hours and hours of wanton geekery in front of your computer screen. Popular Science has posted scans of their complete archive on the Internet allowing anyone access to the annals of what made technology fun. That’s 137 years of history published in partnership with Google Books. So I did a search for “Death Ray” and got entries from way back in the 1960′s. Wow A Death Ray Bomb — not only does it explode, it also houses a “death ray” that kills you off if the bomb doesn’t do you at once. Here you go. The best part for me — the Read more »
LEGO + board games = geeky family fun
Question: What do you get when you combine LEGO with a board game? Answer: Something impossibly awesome. Come on — you put those two things together, and I’m already in. The world of LEGO just keeps getting bigger, and now, LEGO Games have arrived in the United States. Our friends in Europe have been enjoying these unique sets for a while now, but at last they’ve landed in America. These clever game sets combine everything that’s great about board games with the wonders of LEGO Bricks. The result is a sort of hybrid game with rules and objectives just like a regular board game, only the board and all of the Read more »
Funeral Service for Internet Explorer 6: Be Advised
Yeah sure everything you want we can incorporate, but as a small favor, can we just stop supporting IE6? Heard that line before from your designer on record? Well, that’s IE6 for you. Well, you are all cordially invited to attend the funeral that will put to rest all emotional impediment on misaligned forms, malicious code, CSS gone wild… well you get the picture. It’s about time they put IE6 to rest in the form of a solemn event. IE6 pretty much tainted the reputation of Internet Explorer as a brand and whenever people refer to Microsoft’s browser as being buggy and the source of all frustration, they aren’t referring Read more »
Sony's S-Frame DPP F700: It's a printer and a photo frame all in one
About two years ago, having a digital photo frame in your living room was considered to be somewhat of a luxury. Later on, Motorola and Kodak innovated a bit by coming up with live updating photo frames that stream photos via 3G from any Motorola phone to Kodak’s frame. Not sure if it picked up — Motorola left the market for some time and Kodak … well. Today, Sony has made even better use of the digital photo frame by combining it with a portable printer. So not only does it serve the aesthetic purpose of viewing photos, you can also use it to crop, rotate and print. Say hello Read more »
The Future of Android as seen from this Dual SIM winner
It has two active standby SIM slots. It’s made in China. It runs on Android. After nursing a cold about a week ago, I came into the possession of two prototypes from one of the more “hip” China phone manufacturers, TORQUE. Without any detailed specs, the units came in a brown envelope with no charger (as apparently you can charge these via generic USB) and without any naming spray-painted onto the real estate. There was a piece of paper accompanying it with three IMEI numbers for the GD55 and G88, and I had concluded that the latter was the dual SIM device. Since these are prototypes, there is essentially no Read more »
For the Geeky Chick – Keyboard Clutch
A few years ago, I applied for a job at a local magazine here in town. After the interview, the editor said to me, “So this is a fashion magazine. What would a guy like you want to do with fashion?” I replied, “It’s a challenge.” I didn’t get the job. Not then, anyways. A few months later, someone quit, and I was the next in line. Or maybe I was the fourth in line, I’m not really sure who he called first, frankly. Either way, I became a copy editor at this magazine in town, and I worked there for a little over a year, reading almost every article Read more »
Wolverine 2 – Japan Bound
Alright, I’m just going to come out and say it. I didn’t like any of the X-Men movies, nor did I like Wolverine. I thought they were all quivering piles of dog poo, festering in the stink of bad directing and horrible plot lines. Let me explain. I grew up with the X-Men. Chris Claremont and John Byrne were my heroes back in the day, which eventually led to Jim Lee and others taking over the realm. I loved the storylines, the mythos, and the general concept. Here was this group of misfits, who didn’t fit in anywhere, and they were really awesome. The Genosha storyline rocked, the Dark Phoenix Read more »

WoWeekly: Trojan Hacks Authenticator Protected WoW Accounts
Just the other day, I heard people talking in trade chat about how the Blizzard Authenticator was only good for getting the Core Hound mount. I was intrigued, since in my opinion, I think the Blizzard Authenticator was a good way of keeping your account secure. I thought they were just the usual whiney Azerothians who had nothing else to do but whine about how Blizzard is messing up the game in one way or another. But apparently, someone created a trojan that could actually intercept the authenticator codes and enable the hacker to change your password, empty your account and sell your stuff! How interesting! The trojan works the Read more »
