Although the year is still far from over, I think it’s safe to say that the top trap of the year in the anime world has already been decided. Some of you may be wondering what I’m talking about when I refer to a trap. Before I explain that though, I want you to take a look at the picture to the left. The name of this character is Hideyoshi Kinoshita from the anime Baka to Test to Shokanju. By anime standards, Hideyoshi is a pretty girl, and I’m sure if you showed this picture to most people they would agree. Now what if I told you that Hideyoshi is a Read more »

Sonic Returns
The Sonic the Hedgehog series is a lot like that hot chick you knew in high school. She had an amazing body, was super hot, and knew how to make boys like her. Then she got old, had a few kids, maybe tried to get some plastic surgery but that didn’t work out. Now it’s 10 years later and she’s got more chins than Chris Farley and a voice that sounds like she’s smoked 4 packs of Marlboro reds for the past decade. There’s just not a lot left there to love. But if you look back and remember what made that girl hot to begin with, then maybe you’ve Read more »
My Favorite Celebrity Gamers
We all know that celebrities are people just like us. Well, they might be richer – way richer – and they might be more popular – way way more popular – but at the end of the day, they are human just like you and me. And, yes, some of them are as geeky as the person sitting in the cubicle next to you. Indyposted recently featured the top celebrity gamers of our day, and was I glad to see some of my all-time favorites make the list! Alright, I’ll be honest – there’s really just one that I’d die for in that list. And, guess what? He made it Read more »
10Bar releases underwater housing for Panasonic Lumix GF-1
There’s a reason why divers shun going for Panasonic when shooting underwater. Despite the really great cameras, it is almost impossible to find an underwater housing that’s compatible with the latter barrage of imaging devices such as the LUMIX LX3 and now, the micro 4/3 GF-1. I found this on sale today: finally, a housing for the GF1 for underwater shooting. The beautiful aluminum casing is made by 10bar and allows slots for the following lenses: 20mm, 45mm Macro, 14-45mm zoom and 7-14mm Wide zoom lenses. 10bar is really the only third party manufacturer that makes decent underwater casings for the Lumix series of Panasonic. This is peculiar, as the Read more »
Looking For A Pet? Why Don't You Keep An AT-AT?
Many people keep animals as pet but what’s fun about animals? Ok, they can be cute and are so much better with lightsabers but let’s be honest… animals are animals, right? We would maybe make an exception for BigFoot or Alf but other than that, no pet animals are not the real deal. And so thinks Nick Drummond whose pictures of his preferred pet animal we gladly stole for this post. Why? Because we can he keeps an AT-AT that’s why. And if you don’t think that rocks, well then maybe you shouldn’t be reading frankylicio.us. Read more »
Nokia Messaging Bursts into Song
Oh no! What is this?! Another viral video where people burst out into song! There seems to be a working formula for viral videos under the category of “suddenly bursting out into song.” There are two types really: those that burst into song in a studio shoot (like the one above) and the flash mob types we see for guerilla marketing purposes, like this other one (this was done by a friend for Havaianas). This is a story of Dan who needs to send an important email but his tech life got screwed and he’s got no computer. He’s led on into a song and dance number by some theater Read more »
Free energy with the solar plant
If like most geeks you have a lot of gadgets, charging them is an issue. Being price conscious I often worry about the electrical bill and in my case I get the bill at the end of the year. I used to never turn off my computer but now I turn it off every night or if I’m away more then a couple of hours. That’s where solar power comes in. In the Netherlands there are homes already fitted with solar panels which generate power when spring starts all the way to end of the summer. But for us with a smaller budget there is a product concept: The Solar Read more »
Spice Up Your Party With A Steve Jobs Cheesehead
What in the world is a cheesehead? I suppose it is a perfect way to describe a block of cheese that has been carved into the shape of someone’s head. For the lack of a better word, I’m gonna stick with that term – try not to laugh every time you read it. Cheesehead. Anyhow, I ran across instructions on how to create this interesting cheesehead carved to look like Steve Jobs. I am not too sure about the accuracy of the carving but the resemblance is there somewhere. That’s actually the least of my concerns. Is it just me or is this whole set up NOT palatable at all? State of the Multiverse 70
It’s not new to have a hero on the run, pursued by former allies and the forces of the law. It is a little newer for said hero to actually be guilty of whatever they have been accused of I suppose, but not tremendously so. What a disappointing consequence to what was actually an excellent series. Read more »
