Star Wars can only be made better by the brilliance that is LEGO. Case in point: this insanely good recap of the entire original trilogy in just a couple of minutes. I guarantee it’s the best two minutes you’ll waste all day. Read more »

Move over zombies, I can see a new fad!
It would be an understatement to say that mankind has had a fascination with gods for quite for quite some time, but it really seems to have come to the fore recently. Read more »
WoWeekly: Cataclysm Screenshots and Children's Week
A new Cataclysm screenshot came out today, after the news of the start of the Cataclysm Alpha testing. Hopefully, new screenshot teasers will come out since more people will be play-testing the new expansion. I’m sooo envious of those alpha testers! Unfortunately though, it’s not open to the public and is only available to friends and family of Blizzard employees, hence the name “Cataclysm Friends & Family Alpha”. So if you get any email claiming to give you access to become an alpha, it is most probably a SCAM. Mmmkay? Any Blizzard employee want to adopt or marry me? Haha. Read more »

Augmented Reality Used for Public Awareness
In the Netherlands we have a serious problem with people using violence against ambulance workers or fellow citizens. When rescue workers turn up to assist a victim the family and/or friends will threaten them and even use violence. The reason they do this is beyond me as they are preventing them to help the victim. Most of the times bystanders don’t do anything at all to help, not even placing an emergency phone call. That they don’t take action I can understand people have been beaten up or worse, murdered, just to take a stance by saying something. But that doesn’t take away that we don’t even make a phone Read more »
5 Geek-gasmic Scenes From Iron Man 2
I just came from watching Iron Man 2 in the theater today so forgive me if I seem like a squeal-y little fan girl. I swear to the geek gods, Iron Man is SOOO COOL! (and Robert Downey, Jr. is SO HOT!) Among all the movie adaptations of Marvel, Iron Man is probably the best for me, this coming from a geek who know absolutely nothing about Iron Man, sad to say. Hardcore Iron Man fanatics might have other opinions, though. Before you continue reading on, let me remind you that this post contains a few spoilers (SPOILER ALERT!). Just warning you, because I don’t want to be the one Read more »
The Mathematics Of Crochet
The other day, I “liked” the status of a friend on Facebook. She was talking about applying the principle of positivity to life and how someone else remarked that he had never been able to apply the quadratic principle in his own life. I thought it was pretty funny. How this woman applies hyperbolic geometry to crocheting is nothing short of amazing, though; and no, it is not funny. It is jaw-dropping amazing. Daina Taimina is an adjunct professor at Cornell University, and she has been creating these crocheted marvels since 1997. She says that she got the idea of creating crocheted models of the hyperbolic plane from the work Read more »
Pong with a twist
Remember Pong? It was pretty much the first video game like, ever. A company called Hype For Type has updated the classic game for the iPhone, with a clever twist. Check out the trailer, it says it all: TypePong is available to download in the App Store for $.99. Read more »
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
You may have heard about this light novel/manga title getting an anime adaptation recently, but what is it about? The story revolves around Kyousuke Kousaka, an average 17 year old male high school student. Kyousuke has a mother who thinks he’s doing “personal business” whenever she walks in on him, a father who’s so strict that if you’re not at the dinner table at 7pm sharp you’ll be left to starve, and a younger sister that looks and acts like a fashion model and treats him like trash. One day Kyousuke finds an anime DVD box on the floor, and upon further inspection, finds an 18+ eroge (erotic game) inside. Read more »
So… what's Call of Duty: Black Ops?
Activision released a new trailer over the weekend, along with the initial announcement of, its latest game in the Call of Duty franchise. While the creators of Call of Duty, Infinity Ward, have been going through some serious inner turmoil lately, Activision’s secondary go-to studio for CoD games, Treyarch, has been working on this new entry. Treyarch is remembered as the studio behind the sequels Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, and the more recent Call of Duty: World at War. Effectively Call of Duty 7, the game’s actual title is Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Activision is remaining tight-lipped for the moment when it comes to Read more »
