At-At Walker Pet. Man's New Best Friend? [Video]

At-At Walker Pet. Man's New Best Friend? [Video]

Patrick Boivin is quickly making a name for himself, recently he released his short “Iron Baby” which put his own kid into the Iron Man suit with excellent graphics and a cute story line. This time around he’s attacking the AT-AT Walker from Star Wars with an outcome that’s just as awesome as his Iron Baby video. In the clip the AT-AT Walker is turned into man’s best friend, pawing at doors to get outside, peeing on a fire hydrant, looking out the front window, chasing squirrels and more. Read more »

.XXX Domains Get Thumbs Up From ICANN

.XXX Domains Get Thumbs Up From ICANN

This is no joke, and the male population of the entire world is probably rejoicing at this turn of events. On Friday last week, ICANN made a controversial decision to allow adult sites to use their own domain suffix – “.xxx”. ICANN is the non profit organization that deals with the naming system of web sites on the Internet, and the guys there (guys is being used here loosely, alright) have decided to give adult sites a chance. Obviously, this is a very controversial move, and while ICANN has already voted on a decision, we might not see the suffix in use anytime soon as it needs further approval before Read more »

Artwork From A Single Sheet Of Paper

Artwork From A Single Sheet Of Paper

The internet never bores, every week I discover something amazing I wouldn’t know about otherwise. This week it is the artwork of Peter Callesen who creates paper figures from a single A4 sheet. He only uses a plain A4 white paper, something to cut it and glue. Some of the pieces are so incredible detailed you have to admire his talent and patience to create them. Notice the detail of the skeletons face end how meticulous the the ribs are done? And this is one of the more “simple” pieces. Read more »

Fall was an understatement. Now who else can we destroy?

Fall was an understatement. Now who else can we destroy?

Arsenal’s story had always been one of hope, of overcoming incredible tragedy with only a partial set of life skills, yet still finally managing to come out on top. Not anymore it seems. That Roy Harper is dead, and let’s face it, he is not Wonder Woman. He has not saved thousands of lives by this one act, merely stained his soul. Read more »

Make-A-Wish kid gets Millennium Falcon fort

Make-A-Wish kid gets Millennium Falcon fort

Nine-year-old Christian Bentley of Oklahoma is a major Star Wars fan who’s battling leukemia. He recently had a wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation — a big honkin’ Star Wars wish. Christian got himself a Star Wars clubhouse, and Little Mountain Productions built a topper for his new fort that’s a pretty darn accurate replica of the Millennium Falcon. Little Mountain is a professional company that makes stages, sets, special effects, and props for a living. Read more »

Bakemono Zukushi, The Edo Period Monster Scrolls

Bakemono Zukushi, The Edo Period Monster Scrolls

The Bakemono Zukushi scrolls look like they could be the monsters in an old-fashion comic book series and more importantly, they come from sometime in the 18th-19th century, a time referred to as the Edo Period. The pictures were published by the International Research Center for Japanese Studies – Yokai Database and they make for quite the cool viewing. Here’s a look at each of the scroll drawings: Oyajirome (親白眼) our first creature is quite creepy with their cyclops eye and one-fingered hand. I’m not sure how he’s throw anything at his prey, but he could give one hell of a wet willy. Read more »

NPB To ThinkGeek: Pork Is The ONLY "Other White Meat"

NPB To ThinkGeek: Pork Is The ONLY "Other White Meat"

We all know about ThinkGeek and their proclivity for playing practical jokes on their readers. You know, the kind that has enough touch of reality that you just might fall for it. One of their latest pranks was to advertise canned Unicorn Meat on April Fool’s. You probably heard about it, but I don’t know a single person – not even the most gullible person I know – who would fell for it. Come on, some of us live in a world of fantasy half the time but we know that unicorns aren’t real! Read more »

DC Comics Go Digital, Invade Apple Devices Everywhere

DC Comics Go Digital, Invade Apple Devices Everywhere

DC Comics entered the 21st Century today, announcing a new iPhone/iPad/iPod App that’s available for immediate free download from the App Store. While the application is free, comic book downloads will run users anywhere from $.99 to $2.99 per issue. However you can try out the application with a free few selections including Batman: Black & White. The app also includes offerings from Wildstorm and Vertigo. As Comics Alliance points out, paying the same price for a digital print as you will for a collectible paper print probably won’t make sense to serious comic book collectors and is meant more for casual readers. For example “Generation Lost” is released on Read more »

PDP Showcases TRON Controllers

PDP Showcases TRON Controllers

I have a confession, and please don’t think any less of me because of it. Here goes…I haven’t seen TRON. Of course, I know what it is – how can anyone not? – but I have not seen the film for myself. With Robin’s recent posts about TRON action figures, though, my curiosity has reached its peak. I am getting my hands on a copy of the movie and I will watch it as soon as I do. That being said, another reason I found myself drawn to TRON is the fact that I stumbled onto some hot looking TRON-themed peripherals. Performance Design Products has announced a series of TRON-themed Read more »
