PDP Showcases TRON Controllers

I have a confession, and please don’t think any less of me because of it. Here goes…I haven’t seen TRON. Of course, I know what it is – how can anyone not? – but I have not seen the film for myself.

With Robin’s recent posts about TRON action figures, though, my curiosity has reached its peak. I am getting my hands on a copy of the movie and I will watch it as soon as I do. That being said, another reason I found myself drawn to TRON is the fact that I stumbled onto some hot looking TRON-themed peripherals.

Performance Design Products has announced a series of TRON-themed controllers for the Wii, the PS3, and the Xbox 360. They were actually shown off at the E3 conference this year by Disney.

This one’s obviously for the PS3.

And this is for the 360.

This is the bad-a*# looking controller for the Wii.

It may not match my not-so-pristine white Wii but I am sure I will play better if I had this controller.

For someone who hasn’t seen TRON, I have to say that I find these accessories quite attractive. They should be out in the fall, for $50 each. Rumor has it that the supply of the controllers might be limited, so if you really want to get your hands on one, make sure that you keep track of the release dates when they are finalized.
