Bacon Flavored Lip Balm

Tired from the plethora of fruit flavored lip balms? Now you can buy food flavored ones with Bacon flavor being the most notorious one to me. Other choices are pickle, corndog, nacho and wasabi. I really wonder how it would taste to wear those lip balms, like just having eaten? Or would it make you hungry?

Personally I don’t like flavored lip balms, with one exception, coconut flavored. It always reminds me of being on the beach, especially nice when it’s in the middle of winter. Otherwise I’m plain boring with lip balms using a plain non flavored one, so this Bacon Balm and the other food flavored ones look very daring to me.

I can see food flavored balm being an issue, especially if you are going to eat, unless you combine your food with the lip balms flavor. Easting sushi? Apply Wasabi lip balm. Having a taco? Apply Nacho lip balm. You get the gist. At least with the fruity flavored ones it is like dessert applying it after eating.

Any bacon fan should get the bacon flavored lip balm, myself included. Bacon is not the healthiest food and if this lip balm comes close in tasting like real bacon it can serve as a hold over for the days you don’t eat bacon. As long as it doesn’t make you want to eat more.

If your are a lip balm user would you buy food flavored ones?

Yeah…and end up having raw lips because of involuntary chewing. But, yeah, if it makes you stop eating too much…;)

So I can’t speak to the other flavors, but I got the bacon flavored one (along with bacon band-aids, bacon jelly beans, and bacon lollipops) as a gift for x-mas last year. My recommendation: leave it as a novelty in the package. When you open it, it smells like bacon, but when you put it on and get a taste it is more like rancid meat. And I could not get that taste off my lips for a good 2 hours, it was horrible.

  3. Glad to get some feedback on this Ray. Now I know to not spend money on it and not to use it if I ever get it as a gift. I guess is better to leave the love for bacon to bacon itself and not to bacon by products like the lip balm and candy’s.
