Fflick: Movie Advice From Twitter

I never follow movie critics, in my experience they always give movie I end up liking bad reviews. Thanks to just trusting other movie goers and of course my own taste I almost never end up watching a bad movie at the theater.

Some movies create such buzz and do live up to the expectation like Inception that chances are good that you will enjoy it. Avatar also created a lot of hype, I liked it but did not think it was that great either. If you are like me and are picky on which movies you are going to spend money watching at the theater instead of on DVD fflick is the answer.

fflick is a movie “review” website, but instead of critics it contains all the opinions of twitterverse. You just login with your Twitter account and are immediately presented with recent movies your friends have been tweeting about. Want to know about other movies? On the homepage you have a short list of movies currently playing, opening soon and coming soon.

Read what everyone is saying about a movie, divided by Friends, Interesting, Latest, Positive and Negative. But don’t expect too much either, with a 140 character limitations, reviews are mostly limited to: it sucked, it was awesome, it was boring, great movie.

fflick helped me decide to watch “Charlie St. Cloud” when it premieres here in the Netherlands, I haven’t heard anything about the movie, except that it’s based on a book and Zac Efron(win!) stars in it. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be checking fflick weekly to see what is worth watching on the big screen.

I was determined to spend on Avatar in spite of the horrible reviews, but for once, everyone else was right. It was a disappointment. I’ll check this fflick out anyway. Thanks!
