Geek Splurge: AC Brotherhood Collector’s Edition

Got a spare $100 on you? You’re about to spend it.

Ubisoft has unveiled the Collector’s Edition of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and it includes some geeky must-haves. Two different versions are available: one for GameStop customers, and one for all other vendors. Both will cost you a C-note, and both will be available on November 16, 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Here’s what’s inside.

Both versions come with a copy of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood that includes 2 exclusive singleplayer maps, as well as a printed map of Rome that contains strategic game information, an art book with renders and concept art, and a bonus disc that has the complete game soundtrack, trailers for the game, a making-of video, and a sneak peek at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed comic book.

Both versions also come with a collectible Jack-in-the-Box like the ones seen in the game — only these don’t (presumably) explode like grenades. GameStop customers will get a Jack-in-the-Box with a Harlequin character that pops out (seen below). All other retailers will have a Jack-in-the-Box with a Doctor character that pops out.

Ubisoft says that they are creating a limited number of these Collector’s Editions, though they haven’t said how many.
