Movie Theater Plans Ultimate Lost Marathon

I love me some Lost. You might even say I’m a Lost fanatic. But this is way too much, even for me.

The Prince Charles Cinema in London is planning a Lost marathon starting September 13th, wherein they’ll show all 121 episodes of the show back-to-back on the big screen. Without those pesky commercials, that adds up to 80 straight hours of Lost (though breaks are planned and will be required of all attendees), or four days. The theatre is even going to have paramedics on hand for anyone who gets too tired (or whose brain melts from non-stop pondering of Mystery Island).

Prince Charles Cinema is timing this event to happen at the same time as the release of Season 6 on DVD in England (American viewers can already purchase the set). Admission is free for the first 280 fans to arrive, and sleeping bags, pillows, snacks, and costumes are “recommended.” If you require a button to push every 108 minutes, they will not be provided.

Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse reacted to this insane fan event by saying that, “we applaud you, we admire you and we thank you for your fandom.” They also added that they “take no legal responsibility” for these fans’ health.

Or, you know, sanity.
