NTT Enhances Data Center Service Security

nttcom 223x71 NTT Enhances Data Center Service SecurityWho is not familiar with NTT?  Practically everyone has at least heard about the company, which is a household name all over the world when it comes to communications.  For businesses, NTT has served as a role model and a reliable provider of a wide range of solutions.

Earlier this month, NTT Communications – the international and long distance service arm of NTT – announced its acquisition of Secode AB.  The acquired company is well known in northern Europe, providing managed-security and security-consulting services in the region.  While individuals may not find much significance in this development, businesses will certainly see its import.

Business entities – big or small – are increasingly relying on data center service providers to meet their needs.  There is, however, the issue of security threats.  Everyday, we hear about security breaches left and right, courtesy of many “talented” individuals out there.

With NTT’s acquisition of Secode AB, they have made a move to bolster data center service security in the region.  (And we all know that that region is a haven for many extremely talented individuals.)  This seems to be the trend that NTT is following – buying up companies in different parts of the world to expand their operations.  At the same time, the acquired companies enjoy the backing of NTT’s vast network and resources.  I think it’s safe to say that it’s a win-win situation.

In any case, businesses that rely on data center services will be glad to know of this development – they can only benefit from stronger security measures after all.
