Something You Don’t See Everyday

forevergeek gaming Something You Don’t See EverydayHave you ever dreamed of dropping plastic guitar-shaped game controllers into a live volcano? Me neither. But someone has, because that’s exactly what happens in the video above.

It’s a publicity stunt, sure, but you’ve got to admit it’s a pretty ballsy one. They’re doing it to promote Power Gig: Rise of the Six String, the first music game ever to come with a real guitar that can be played offline. (Rock Band 3 uses a six-string controller, but it can’t be used outside of the game.)

Power Gig is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in late October. Does this video make you more or less interested in the game?
