Pokemon Fan Made Movie Pokémon Apokélypse: I Would Pay To Watch This Movie In Theaters

Fire, electricity, ground shaking hits, if you think about it Pokémon has always been a dark, mystical cock-fight placed inside child friendly wrapping, but that all changed last week when  a fan trailer was released with a modern and much more adult spin on the classic cartoon. While that trailer was decent, the shaky hand held cinematography was annoying and nearly unwatchable.

Thankfully we now have the real cinematography for the fan-made trailer titled Pokémon: Apokélypse and to say the least, I’m 100% blown away, I would go see this movie today if it actually existed.

From the cock-fight type underground fighting to the cool re-imagining of Pichahu and the Pokemon, it’s a gritty story with what appears to be great acting (I say that in the several moments I had to review the characters).

I’ll be straight up and say that in my opinion this is the best fan made film I’ve ever seen, the CGI is great, the acting looks decent, the cinematography is gritty and real…why hasn’t Hollywood picked up the director (Barry Liu) and cinematographers (Kial Natale and Nelson Talbot) is beyond me, these guys deserve a shot, perhaps even with an extended version of this trailer and by that I mean finishing the entire movie. In fact the entire crew from costume designers to location managers should be working on this movie, immediately.

Here’s the trailer:

What do you think?

I am not going to lie. I love the feel of this trailer. I would love to pay and see this on the big screen and i think 100,000 people and or more. Would say they Agree with me on this. I hope this becomes a full length film, Because I want to see it when it is done. Also i would buy the DVD or BLUE-RAY when it comes out. Whatever comes first i’ll do. I am a die hard Pokemon Fan

  2. Joseph Siggers says:

I honestly really loved it, yea it had it’s corny moments “You have a chose God damnit.” “I choose you!” lol but it really looked gritty and very R rated. If the Pokemon concept was a reality it would be like Dog fights, cock fights and so on. If they did make a movie I do think the Pokemon deserve a good tweek on the animation but the concept is still amazing. Team Rocket controlling underground dog fights. Jesse and James with guns killing Oak. Amazing!!!

  3. Donald says:

  4. Jordan says:

  10. Joker420 says:

This should be a movie. I stumbled acrossed it and I thought it was soooooo real. Come on you got to make this. Me and my friend are so upset cuz it’s not real :’( We would wait in line for hours just to see this movie. I would pay in advance to get my ticket. Make it please. They did Transformer’s why not Pokemon :D

  11. I would pay IMAX money just to see 10 minutes of this movie. I know slot of people who would die just to see this movie. I honestly like the idea of the dog-fighting idea. Really creative. It really sucks that this won’t be a movie or short-film. The director and whole cast did a awesome job ok the trailer, and imagine how good it would be if it was a move or short film. I really think that they’d make a good sum of money on this film.

  15. Ash Ketchum Y.A.T.N...L says:

Pokémon Apokélipse is the best movie that I heard. And I’m a Pokémon fan, If this movie is real and appears in theaters, I would pay more than $10.00 dollars to see this amazing movie. Please, make this real, every Pokémon fan wanted to see a Pokémon Movie on the Big Screen, Holywood have to work to do this great movie and better, with great graphics, great characters, great Pokémon, and a great story of 3:00 hous. If this all I say would be REAL….. This is the best movie in the world!

  16. Chris says:

Pros: Great idea on bringing in a real-world issue of dogfighting into the Pokémon Universe; kept the characters and Pokémon from Generation I, and be fearless in having certain characters die.

Cons: Pokémon graphics needs tweaking and keep the campy catchphrases to a minimum.

Suggestions: Cast a few familiar faces that can help further the product (if a big-budget film is on the horizon).

Overall: I’d pay to go see this movie.
