It’s one thing to cut together your own fan made trailer for a movie, it’s a whole different ball game when you make a Tron: Legacy trailer that’s so good that even the films producer Sean Bailey praises your awesome work. The clip, named “Rerezzed” was actually made before the “Derezzed” trailer came out, a point the creator makes sure to highlight. Pay close attention to how well the trailer’s movement sync’s with Glitch mob’s “Animus Vox” almost as if they are working in tandem with one another: Read more »

Optimus Prime in Ice
One might think that an Optimus Prime sculpture without the all the colors will be nothing more than blah, but I think that the creation of Atti and Michel de Kok will change your mind about that. This ice sculpture is quite representative of the ice cold calmness and nerves of steel that I associate with the leader of the Autobots. Read more »
Mark Wahlberg Cast as Uncharted’s Nathan Drake
Color me disappointed. After a long and colorful campaign by Firefly‘s Nathan Fillion to star in the big-screen adaptation of the hit PlayStation game series Uncharted, the role has instead gone to Mark Wahlberg. My reaction: Meh. Fillion, better known to fans as Firefly/Serenity‘s Captain Malcolm “Tight Pants” Reynolds, among his numerous other genre roles, could not be more perfect for the role. He has just the right combination of comedic delivery and action-hero savvy that the character calls for. Plus, he actually resembles the video game character! (He’s even got video game experience, having voiced characters in multiple Halo games.) Fillion was born to play this part. But instead, Read more »

Made as part of a contest for Aint it Cool News’ Butt-Numb-A-Thon 12, Benni Diez of Cologne, Germany created this bad boy. This was the winning entry in the contest, and Diez claims it took only two days to create. The video features the famously climactic scene in James Cameron’s Aliens, edited with new effects to look like it’s taking place in the world of Tron, aka “the Grid.” Hit the link above to see eight more “TRONitized” movie clips. On a side note… Have you tired of all the Tron stuff yet? Are we nearing overload, or do you say, “Keep it coming!”? Read more »

Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark Preview Night Falls Apart
I’ve been bitching and moaning about Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, the Spidey musical from U2 founders Bono and The Edge for the last month, mostly due to a bad first song preview and costume designs that left me baffled. Well if the very expensive to produce Broadway show ends up at all like the first preview night the rumors and my assertions were definitely warranted. The NY Post and NY Times attended the show and here are just a few of the issues they witnessed: NY POST: The show had to be stopped four times in the first act alone for various snags. NY POST: As the character [Arachne], Read more »
