Hot Toys Announces Most Realistic Looking Tron Toy Yet

Hot Toys Announces Most Realistic Looking Tron Toy Yet

Hot Toys just announced one of the coolest Tron: Legacy toys to date. The Sam Flynn Lightcycle figure. Maybe it’s just me, but the photo of the toy above looks crazy realistic. In June I reported about the light projected toys from the movie and I thought those were pretty cool or at least sci-fi based, but having a toy that looks this good without any tech tricks is just as impressive. Thanksgiving Firsts

Thanksgiving Firsts

So this week Tom DeFalco has returned to one of his old creations with Thunderstrike, and for me this is a return to some of the older more innocent style comics. Well, as much as one can perceive from a first issue. It’s nice to see Kevin Masterson again even if he has turned into the ultimate brat, and also nice to see an Asgardian title that isn’t all ‘Woe is me, Asgard has fallen’. I’m not saying this is the pinnacle of comic story-telling, far from it, but it is enjoyable, and a welcome return for a character missed by many. Speaking of returns however, Dynamite have continued their Read more »

Pulp Fiction for Dummies

Pulp Fiction for Dummies

Have you ever found yourself wishing that the events in Quentin Tarantino‘s Pulp Fiction were presented in a “normal” sequence? I suppose that we’ve all wondered at one point or another how the movie would turn out if this were done. While I don’t obsess about it, I think that would be pretty cool – I cannot deny that when it first came out, I had to watch the movie at least twice to make sense of it. The order of the events just screwed me up the first time – but that is part of the beauty of it all, isn’t it? Read more »

Video gamers are usually among the biggest beneficiaries of Black Friday. Every year, the post-Thanksgiving gamer is able to pick up hot new titles and terrific hardware bundles — as long as you’re willing to get up at ungodly hours and wait in the cold in a parking lot. But it’s a small price to pay! Here’s a guide to the best deals available this year. Be aware that some of these sales are “door busters,” which means they’re available in limited quantities in stores, and will be subject to first-come, first-serve. If you’re one of the two gamers left on the planet who don’t own a Nintendo Wii, Best Read more »

Weekly Treats

Weekly Treats

Growing up in the United Kingdom, I was used to the idea of a weekly comic as a child. In fact, even when I realised all I was reading (bar 2000AD of course) was reprints, I still found the concept of the US comics shipping monthly a curious one at best. Maybe that’s why I liked the crossover events so much, as hopefully never a week would go by without a new instalment to what story I was following. Assuming everything ships on time that is. So, with the success so far of the televised version of the Walking Dead, it only makes sense that Image intend to release The Read more »

For one reason or another, some people have come to think of museums as stuffy boring places. This doesn’t have to be the case, as some of you may very well know. Star Wars Mice Collection. Eeek.

Star Wars Mice Collection. Eeek.

I like the juxtaposition that occurs when someone takes a movie full of action scenes and characters we know and love and then they dumb it down into adorable caricatures and that’s exactly what’s happened with the Star Wars mouse collection by Anna and Naomi at the House Of Mouse. Here are some close up pictures of each available Star Wars Mouse: Read more »
