Willy Wonka is a wacky surreal story surrounding a world like none we’ve ever seen. Tron: Legacy is a surreal story surrounding another world like we’ve never before seen. So it’s almost a natural mashup in the making. Actually nothings natural about it, but it’s still pretty cool and definitely funny. Using the voice overs from Tron: Legacy the video shown below attempts to weave the story of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory into the Tron: Legacy story and it actually does a decent job. I wrote last week that I wanted to see the Batman Live Arena Tour more than Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark. One of my big complaints was rumors that the character concepts for the Spidey Musical were said to gravitate too far away from the originals, a big concern for myself and comic book fans around the world. Now we have pics from the musical taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vogue Magazine and if they are in fact real photoshop touched up pictures….ouch. This new look at the forthcoming Mortal Kombat reveals details about the character Sub-Zero. LucasArts is using the TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars as fodder for a third Lego Star Wars game. Here’s the first dev diary about the upcoming game (which was recently pushed back to February of next year). id has decided to enter the race to put a 3D shooter on iOS by crafting a side game to Rage called Rage: Mutant Bash TV. By all accounts, Tron: Legacy looks like a sure bet. The buzz is huge, the visuals are incredible, and every little detail from the music by Daft Punk to the terrific casting all but scream “major box office hit.” With so much excitement, it’s easy to forget that Tron: Legacy is a gi-normous gamble on Disney’s part. Panty and Stocking Transformers

The latest episode of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (PSG) was a real treat for mecha fans as the first half was packed with transforming robots and machine violence. The whole thing was a parody of the Transformers series, with two robots at war crashing into the Earth. Their cores are then eaten by Panty and Stocking, who turn into robots themselves. With their newfound powers, Panty and Stocking both enlist the help of robots from everyday objects in their rooms. A month ago I wrote about chocolate covered bacon that are fresh made and actually taste good. Now what about eating a peanut butter bacon cup? A chocolate cup filled with natural peanut butter with bacon bits in it. So far this is the best bacon food creation I have come across online. Bacon and chocolate is great, but bacon, chocolate and peanut butter is sublime. Maybe it is because lately I have taken a liking in eating sandwich meats with something sweet. Ever heard of scanography? It’s a relatively new subset of photography where super-high-resolution images are captured using a flatbed scanner. Yes, it limits the artist to what they can capture, since scanners tend to not be very movable. On the other hand, limitations are always opportunities to the truly creative, and often result in images with a very creepy, almost x-ray type feel. Some people merely place their objects on the scanner and see what happens. Others employ Photoshop to manipulate their scanned images with layering and other effects. Why I’d Rather See Batman Live: World Arena Tour Than Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark

It’s true that Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark hasn’t be released yet (delayed again until at least January) and Batman Live: World Arena Tour has yet to even launch in the UK/Europe (July release date), but based on an early understanding of Batman Live and some of the stupid rumors about Spider-Man, including a viewable horrible first song, I’m already leaning towards the Arena Show.
