Everyone in Japan already knows that the Tokyo Sky Tree, which is currently under construction, is going to replace the Tokyo Tower as the main broadcasting tower for Tokyo. It is also now the tallest structure in Japan. Besides taking over the Tokyo Tower’s job, the Tokyo Sky Tree might be set to take over another position: the main battleground/epicenter of events in anime. The Tokyo Tower has long been a popular prop in Japanese media, from the days of Godzilla rampaging through the streets of Tokyo, to anime that aired just months ago. It is featured heavily in CLAMP series such as Card Captor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Read more »

Details Leaked About Modern Warfare 3
It will come as a surprise to no one that Activision is planning a new Call of Duty game for release this November. Their publishing strategy over the last three or four years has been to release a new CoD title every year, thanks to the efforts of two different game studios (Infinity Ward and Treyarch). It probably won’t even surprise you to learn that this year’s game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. But you will be surprised by the amount of details about the game that have been leaked and posted on Kotaku today. Kotaku’s report includes loads of character, weapon, and location renders, and full spoilers Read more »
No Wonder Woman For You
That godawful-sounding Wonder Woman TV show that NBC was considering? You know, the one from David E. Kelley starring the talented Adrianne Palicki in the world’s worst superhero costume? Not happening. Read more »
Unnoticed Redemption?
It’s almost as if they planned it; although I rather fear that this time DC will not benefit from the flush of publicity they garnered two weeks ago. In this week’s Superman #711, the issue concludes with a statement of the ‘American Way’ that Superman has already fought for. The issue features LiveWire as the antagonist, the radio host gone bad (oh my, I only see the irony as I write this! D’Oh!), who had recently proved her worth in saving the planet against the Auctioneer, thereby redeeming herself. Gone to S.T.A.R. to learn more about her powers, she absorbs way too much electricity, and the less attractive insecurities of Read more »
The Paradox Turns Your iPod Nano Into a Real Watch
The other day, I saw the Hex Strap for the iPod Nano in action, and it looked pretty neat. The silicon strap seemed pretty sturdy enough and the design was simple but still somehow elegant. From a distance, the strap really did make the entire setup look like a watch. Then I heard about The Paradox, which seems to be another cool option for those looking for Nano cases. It’s a new project by a guy called Kunal Sheth, and it basically turns the iPod Nano into a watch – not much unlike the Hex Strap and every other similar piece of accessory out there. However, it seems that The Read more »

Weird But True Transformers
Some things are just too strange to be true — and yet they are. Take these Transformers. Most of them are bizarre knock-offs, though some are the real deal, licensed and made by Hasbro. From Mickey Mouse to the Titanic, you won’t believe some of the crazy stuff these toy robots transform into. Read more »
Your Guide to Game of Thrones Infographics
So it seems that HBO has made the right decision to take on Game of Thrones. In spite of the criticism that the show has received, it looks like a lot of people are getting into the series. Even those who have not read the book are trying out the TV series and are now looking into the book series as well. Remember that NYT review that got me all riled up some weeks ago? If there is one thing that I agree with, it is the fact that there is a host of characters in the story. And yes, you do have to pay attention to keep track of Read more »

http://chrome.angrybirds.com There’s really nothing more to it. You can now run Angry Birds on Google Chrome. Works on any platform. On a deep end, it’s a showcase of what HTML5 can do an to be honest a lot better than Microsoft’s HTML5 test drive campaign for Internet Explorer. Read more »
Why L.A. Noire is a Game-Changer
L.A. Noire, arriving May 17th, is raising the bar for storytelling in video games to an entirely new level. We’ve heard that kind of hyperbole before, but this time the hype matches the product. Because you have never, ever played a game like this before. I guarantee it. Read more »
