At E3 SONY announced an innovation in their new line of Bravias: you will be able to play 2 player games on the same TV without having to use a split screen. This will only work for 3D TV’s of course. The tech is quite simple: the TV plays both player’s screens on top of the other with each making use of one part of the 3D lens.

OK it’s tough to explain, but here’s a guy who hacked his way into making his own version for much less on a much bigger set. All you really need are the 3D glasses, with the same lens on each one.
