You are not ready for what you’re about to see. I’m at a loss for words over this… I’ve simply never before seen a video game achieve this level of storytelling, action, emotion, realism, and show-me-something-I’ve-never-seen-before ingenuity. It’s utterly jaw-dropping.
The fifteen-minute BioShock Infinite demo you’re about to watch is the same demo that was shown to members of the media at E3 — the same demo that caused the game to be named “Game of Show” by dozens of media outlets, and to win the overall Best of E3 from the 2011 Game Critics Awards. The quality of what’s shown in the demo — which is comprised entirely of in-game footage, no cutscenes here — is just through the roof. Be sure and max out the resolution to 720p!

Beautiful!! I played BioShock for a couple of hours before deciding that I couldn’t be bothered levelling up, combining attributes and trying to use magic attacks – I just wanted to shoot at things. I either play no-brainer shooters or deep story-driven thinkers, whereas the System/BioShock series seem to be somewhere inbetween. This one, however, looks to be just too much fun to pass up. Swap your Big Daddy for a mechapigeon and away we go…..
