The Lorem Ipsum Generator for Hipsters (And Bacon!)

We’ve all seen those pages of “nonsensical” text in a language that only a handful of people understand and/or speak today.  But did you know that Lorem Ipsum is really NOT nonsensical?¹  It may NOT make sense to the average person today, but this block of text used in the printing and typesetting industry (as well as online) actually has meaning.  As a matter of fact, Lorem Ipsum comes from an ancient piece of work, ”de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, which dates back to 45 BC.

With all the creative minds in this world, it is not a surprise that the standard Lorem Ipsum is being replaced by all sorts of different versions.  One that I find particularly funny is the Hipster Ipsum.² We all have our opinions about hipsters, but whether your opinion is good or bad, I think that you’ll have a fun time using this Lorem Ipsum generator.

So what happens when you play around with this thing? I went for two paragraphs and pure hipster language – none of that Latin stuff. This is what I got.

I still can’t make sense of it, but it does make for a hip change from the Latin version.

It may have been around for a month or so now, but I just can’t get enough of bacon! And take a look at the text.

Now I don’t know about you, but I will take bacon over hipster. Any time.
